In need of Focus...

First off take a look at this picture from friend and colleague, Angel Di'Bilio, who besides being a super scientist is also the future photographer of our cat boys!

You may wish to click on this link to rate his photo!

Second, kittie mom senses that she needs FOCUS! Arghh! August and Olser boy quickly volunteered to show me how to focus.

Here's Ollie staring without a single wink. He mumbled, 'Hey Mommie, this is how I focus!'

And here's August. 'Watch mommie, I am focusing on the birdie!"

After watching them teach me how to focus we read:

"...So long as the thoughts of an individual are scattered he will achieve no results, but if his thinking be concentrated on a single point wonderful will be the fruits thereof. One cannot obtain the full force of the sunlight when it is cast on a flat mirror, but once the sun shineth upon a concave mirror, or on a lens that is convex, all its heat will be concentrated on a single point, and that one point will burn the hottest. Thus is it necessary to focus one’s thinking on a single point so that it will become an effective force..."

I will be practicing how to focus tonight and cat boys will be watching me to make sure that I do not get distracted!

We wish everyone focused powers and a delightful Friday filled with little cat kisses!

  1. I think I need to scribe these word on my vision wall, along with a few other slogans of focus:)

Thank you for the inspiration lovely, you too boys:)

now I'm going to go camping and leave my camera here, I want to give my soul mate my undivided attention, teheee:)

    Love and Light,

  2. HA!
Michaela, I as going to say the exact same thing!

"... but if his thinking be concentrated on a single point wonderful will be the fruits thereof..."

  3. ...i got my eyes peeled..on les cat's THAT for focusing...?!

  4. M- I need to tattoo them on my forehead, I have so been a scatter head since...well, since a long time! Camping with sweetsies must not be interrupted with click click of cameras...your soul will do the capturing! Enjoy!

J-so very true it is, I think I solve a mystery each time I do that, and then I mentally pat myself on the back because no one else can imagine how good it felt

N-I do that all the time, it's like hypnosis, happy Valentines Day!

And saint valentin better focus with his arrow or ,,,

  5. Great photo. Have a happy v day weekend!

  6. What a challenge with so many distractions, I am at least grateful for memories of a simpler time. xx ( perhaps I can recreate them )

  7. I hope you have found your focus. Kitties need no help on that one, but they are very instructive. I now resolve to observe my own kitties more often, and take mental notes.

    Happy Valentine's Day!
