It was a beautiful day...

The air was not so cold, not so hot, humidity was low, cat boys were static.  The cat fields were mowed to prepare for human landscaping.  I did not let them sense my lack of enthusiasm.
We roamed.  I looked up at the skies trying to better immerse myself in the serenity of that little space.
Light shone through bright and multicolored...
cat boys went for a nose kiss, their shadows following faithfully.
The light poured in in abundance...the surroundings became soft....the dry land was their Serengeti.
They were two each, more of them to love, clear, shiny.
He moved in long strides to match his shadow.

I was reminded of this quote:

"Where there is much light, the shadow is deep."  (Ludwig van Goethe)

What do you think of this?  What does it mean to you?  We love light, do you too?

Cat boys and their shadows sent pawfuls of kisses to you.

Ciao everyone.

twice in the cat fields

I was searching through the photographic journal of my times with the cat boys trying to decide which moments to share, a task that I always find very difficult to do.  Their every move is delightful to me.  In my heart I am constantly sighing and ooing and aahing.  I frequently squeeze them in my arms and kiss their cheeks.

Anyhow, the photos I chose are from last weekend when I had two separate dates with the cat boys in the catfields of our complex, the first with Mr Sweet Pants, who sat in the greens and let the light dance around him
while he closed his eyes and tried hard to imagine if it could get any better than that.  I noted the metal pipes with electricity floating through behind him and wondered for a second at the oddity of the scene, the urban encroachment on his Serengeti but he did not mind, he knew it was all electricity and spectacular energy.
After a good bit of togetherness time we decided to do something else and now I am not sure what it was
but whatever it was it looked very good to me. How every move is a photographic opportunity with these cat boys is beyond my comprehension!
Later the same afternoon I was led by Mr Puffy Pants
to the same cat fields,  cool bright light still shining mightily and
we had some one on one.
He said that he was listening and so I talked and he listened.

The moments were so precious that I truly don't recall what the conversation was...I have heard of this condition.

Perhaps I asked him not to sneak attack his brother, or could it be that we both remembered the morning prior when the branches above were filled with music.

We may have even had profound discourses of spiritual significance.  We may have talked about the physics of love and how when we gazed at each other with love our energy fields constructively interfered with each other creating powerful transforming waves.

Then we got up and got going and I remembered this in my head

"A drop of the billowing ocean of His endless mercy hath adorned all creation with the ornament of existence, and a breath wafted from His peerless Paradise hath invested all beings with the robe of His sanctity and glory.  A sprinkling from the unfathomed deep of His sovereign and all-pervasive Will hath, out of utter nothingness, called into being a creation which is infinite in its range and deathless in its duration.  The wonders of His bounty can never cease, and the stream of His merciful grace can never be arrested.  The process of His creation hath no beginning, and can have no end. (Gleanings)

which he readily understood just by looking through my eyes.

Cat boys sent pawfuls of kisses and their best wishes for a happy weekend. Ciao everyone!

what one remembers...

When we were growing up our father would tell us a lot about horses and wild animals, acrobats and lions.  He would take us to the Russian circus when they were in town and tell us about how they traveled and how they trained.

When he was going to buy a car he first asked us if we'd rather have a horse instead?  We already had five dogs, a cat, two canaries, and a parrot.

I was pretty certain at that time, maybe I was four or five, that we were going to join a circus, that we would be gypsies traveling from land to land.  I was already taking lessons in playing the accordion.

I am not sure what brought this memory to the forefront of my memory bank but today when I saw the jag and the lion, perhaps for an instant in my heart and in my head I re-experienced my early childhood imaginations.  Those days I was certain that I would be surrounded by tigers and lions.

Mr Sweet Pants made a pretty scene strolling on the high wall,
and as he scaled down, silently and skillfully.
Gingerella, Mr Puffy Pants, followed suit.
Oh yes...he was ready to greet his brother and me.

Last night a super talented friend and graduate student in astrophysics at my school gave a talk about science and religion.  She spoke of the galaxies and the primordial soup and the musical waves that densified and became atoms and the atoms that became us.  She reminded us of how we were all made of stardust.

I shared with the cat boys.

"O Son of Bounty! Out of the wastes of nothingness, with the clay of My command I made thee to appear, and have ordained for thy training every atom in existence and the essence of all created things."  (Hidden Words)

So much to say but for today it has to be said in brief notes-

Happy Valentine's day and cat kisses to you all!

Ciao!

February...

My camera has become fuzzy, maybe because I carry it in my pockets with cat treats and sunflower seeds for the squirrels, or because certain cats like to lick the lens or tap it when I want to take their pictures.  Needless to say that the photos could be much better... soon I hope.

Here are a few photographs of this morning....
Two brave hearts scoping the area before they venture out to the wild back yard...
Gingerella, uninhibitied, immediately fell on his side after a good whiff of catnip.
Sweet Pants, reserved, finally succumbed to the intoxicating effects of catnip.
Catnip worn off, Mr Puffy Pants was ready for the next adventure.
Mr Sweet Pants wondered what was on the agenda too.
I had to go to work, maybe today two cats would accompany me I wondered.
Unrelated to the events of early morning cat boys and I spontaneously decided to read something and reflect upon it during the day.  This is what we read:

"Moreover, these members, these elements, this composition, which are found in the organism of man, are an attraction and magnet for the spirit; it is certain that the spirit will appear in it.  So a mirror which is clear will certainly attract the rays of the sun.  It will become luminous, and wonderful images will appear in it- that is to say, when these existing elements are gathered together according to the natural order, and with perfect strength, they become a magnet for the spirit, and the spirit will become manifest in them with all its perfections." (Some Answered Questions)

I immediately realized that with me were two spiritual perfections clothed in furry outfits and I knew my day would be entirely extraordinaire.  This is not surprising because truly February is an extraordinary month.

Some people fast, some only think about it.  Some winters are on the way out, some are lingering tenaciously before they are kicked out.  Some springs have already begun, and others are promising to come with a bang of wild flowers and bird songs.  There is so much to do at work, there is so much to do everywhere, we can only remind ourselves to live in the moment as the spiritual beings that we were created to be.

Cat boys filled their paws with kisses and blew them in the air for you.

Ciao everyone!

Overcast skies be gone

Today is overcast and I feel foggy in my head. It is sort of a mental vacation, I like to play with cat boys more than ever before for reasons unknown to myself.

Last Sunday, the SuperBowl Sunday, was a delightful day, sunny after another day of cloudy skies, the sun was bright and smiling, the temperatures were just so perfect for both cats and humans.

I put Ollie on the high walls of the condo back yard and watched him walk around proudly, he jumped from one level
to the other, his gait musical, his expressions
priceless.

An experience like this nearly always tickles his appetite and so he presented himself to me for
some noms, which he enjoyed.
Moments later he was staring into the yonderland with his little tongue a little bit out.  (so cute)
Sunning himself on the other wall was Mr Sweet Pants, chest open to absorb those tantalizing rays
while above his head a parrot was keenly watching him.
He felt the gaze on his back and shifted.

We reflected together on this from the Hidden Words.

O Son of Man!
Rejoice in the gladness of thine heart that thou mayest be worthy to meet Me and to show forth My beauty.

We each had rejoiced in the gladness of our hearts that afternoon during those fleeting moments.  We wondered about His beauty.

Cat boys wished you quanta of light, gentle temps, parrots above your heads, and noms on your walls.

Ciao everyone!

Cats love trees

We three walked up and down our street early this morning and then on to the condo back yard.
As we strolled and/or ran we made sure to take note of the beauty around us.
One thing is certain, and that is that our city has beautiful trees, many of them already scaled by the lion and the jag.

This one down the street will be all green in spring all the way up to next winter.  Both boys have been up this tree chasing mice.
This one in our condo back yard has been scaled by both cat boys and once Mr PuffyPants went so far up that I had to get the ladder.   Before my arrival he tossed himself down the tree and then stayed home for a few days.  This is back when he was a young Puffy Pants.
This one is the residence of neighborhood squirrels.  They live up there and we three are envious of their home, high up, beautiful vista, catches the morning sun, although it is spiky.
This one is in the yard next door, a huge tree whose roots are literally moving the structures nearby.  The tree cannot be touched because of law but one of these days as an entire wall collapses something will be done.  Squirrels run up the branches of this tree and so does Mr Sweet Pants.
This is a personal favorite because of its bare look and is still pretty with leaves on.  It just occurred to me that I should have gotten some scientific names for these trees just to make this post more worthwhile.  Still this is a beauty..the white and the blue are very pleasing.  This tree is in our complex too.
I asked the cat boys how they felt about trees.  They discussed it amongst themselves.
This is how Mr Sweet Pants feels about trees, and
this is how Mr Puffy Pants feels about them.
You could say that we three love trees.
"Ahem, we do", indicated Gus.

I read to the cat boys this:

"We cannot segregate the human heart from the environment outside us and say that once one of these is reformed everything will be improved.  Man is organic with the world.  His inner life mould the environment and is itself also deeply affected by it.  The one acts upon the other and every abiding change in the life of man is the result of these mutual interactions..."
(Shoghi Effendi, compilation on Socio-Economic Development)

Cat boys filled their paws with kisses and sent them your way for a beautiful weekend.

Ciao everyone!
