One Early September Afternoon....

we were out in the courtyard. The sun was starting to go down behind the back wall of the complex and the last rays of the day shone through the petals of the unruly shaggy roses. Most tenants have voted these to be unattractive but this afternoon they were not so, they were transparent and light.
Mr SweetPants sat and observed from afar with his long tail. We are all particularly fond and proud of that tail. It used to be very short and he was pleased when it started to grow longer and longer. Now it is so long that he frequently does not fit into a regular photo and I have to change the aspect ratio!
Mr PuffyPants who is always running understood that an afternoon like this must be absorbed and so he assumed the reflection posture.
SweetPants sat in front of him.
I thought that an opportunity had obviously presented itself- I ran and got a reading for their enjoyment.

"When we observe the world of created phenomena we discover that each atom of the atoms of substance is moving through the various degrees and kingdoms of organic life. For instance, consider the ethereal element which is penetrating and traveling through all the contingent realities. When there is vibration or movement in the ethereal element, the eye is affected by that vibration and beholds what is known as light.

In the same manner the bestowals of God are moving and circulating throughout all created things. This illimitable divine bounty has no beginning and will have no ending. It is moving, circulating and becomes effective wherever capacity is developed to receive it. In every station there is a specialized capacity. Therefore we must be hopeful that through the bounty and favor of God, this spirit of life infusing all created things shall quicken humanity and from its bestowals the human world become a divine world, this earthly kingdom the mirror of the realm of divinity, the virtues and perfections of the world of humanity become unveiled and the image and likeness of God be reflected from this temple." (Spiritual Teacher-Abdul Baha)

The cat boys felt content and slowly made kisses that were gently blown into the soft air for this first week of September.

Ciao everyone!

Well, if that doesn't give a body lots of faith and a sense of wonder, I don't know what could!

Love to you and your boys,

  3. I love the names you give to your cats. Of course I know them personally so I see their growth and emotions.
How fun that his tail is longer and longer. I think he is very proud of himself and may even be giving his friend an inferiority complex. But I am sure in his feline way, he will cope with the situation when the time arrives.
On another entriely different note, I want to say thanks for bringing the world of blogging to my notice. There is so much to learn and thank you. You are so patient and kind.

  9. My Brownie has a long tail too, like Gussie's. I wonder if that's a feature of the tabby breed.

    The flowers are so pretty.

We send you all kisses and best wishes for a lovely weekend.

    xoxo
