An Enlightened Sunday

Sunday was a day of weather delights as the autumn sun decided to burn off the early morning clouds, and cool, clean air filled the spaces of this town.  Birds were chirping and hopping, squirrels were running about, and I had two cats wanting to show me around.

The morning felt so good that thinking was not allowed.  Sometimes I led and they followed, and other times they led and I followed.  Here's what part of the morning looked like.

Mr Sweet Pants checking on me while Mr Puffy Pants continues to scan the area.

While standing around we three were thinking of this:

“According to Vedanta, there are only two symptoms of enlightenment. The first symptom is that you stop worrying. Things don’t bother you anymore. You become light-hearted and full of joy. The second symptom is that you encounter more and more meaningful coincidences in your life, more and more synchronicities. And this accelerates to the point where you actually experience the miraculous.” ~Deepak Chopra

While cat boys feel quite enlightened all the time I have to admit that I don't...those moments of enlightenment are scarce and yet, I know that they will become more frequent with practice, especially with the help of our two Swami catboys, Swami Olliekenanda and Swami Sweetiepantskenanda.

Cat boys wish you enlightenment with pawfuls of kisses!

Ciao everyone!

  1. the swamie boys are adorable :-) their enlightened morning walks sound dreamy. Who needs a day of at some spa when you have these two?

  2. like two rivers flowing next to each other, imitating the twists and turns....the swami boys....

    love this post, mona....

sending love and kisses on the wind!

  3. "The morning felt so good that thinking was not allowed"- I love this line. That's a good morning indeed isn't it?

  4. Wow. That Deepak. When I read that, my heart became alive with excitement. To think one could feel like that!
To not be bothered by things. I'm a ways from enlightenment, but at this moment, I am enlightened by you and your swami's on a peaceful morning in your jungle.
(Looks good out there- no more dirt piles and wheel barrows) ;)

  5. Anna- I agree, their company is more relaxing than a spa day...great to see you

lovely fox- they do make a lovely pair, I too think they are musical in their forms....thank you for your love and kisses and you got a bunch too xoxo

    optimist- : ) indeed

prairiegirl- I know, that Deepak is one smart dude. I heard him a couple of years ago at a discussion/chat with the scientists Mldinow...xx no dirt temporarily but it will start again indoors...xxx

  6. Taking a break from thinking is so useful sometimes!

  7. aah, moments of enlightment are amazing! But the trick is to keep it going for longer, or not, what do I know :o but yeah, having cats around helps! but OMG how is it that your boys can look so funny just doing nothing! ;D

  8. Marilia- thank you

Hannah- for me it is, the brake from thinking...thank you for the useful link, it made me smile : )
