One soft early evening last week

we gathered in the cement courtyard, a dove looking from above.
Ollie and Augustus were doing their thing.
Ollie showed me how to do side bends since I told him about my waist problem.
Augustus suggested that I soak up the rays of sun instead, and that I did gleefully.
Ollie got side tracked and fell into a trance.

I gauged that these two cat boys were not going to be able to assume a posture of reading and learning on this peaceful afternoon. After consultation they suggested some music.

This was their request.

Subsequently they were encouraged to fill their paws with delicious cat kisses, which they joyfully blew in the air. We hope you received some.

Ciao!

On this very holy Friday....

we spent some dawn moments together reflecting.

Ollie perched himself on the wall to admire the new flower that had voluntarily appeared in the patio
and specifically his new salad shoots, this morning each glistening with a droplet of water.
Augustus joined and the two looked in one direction
and the other.
I served breakfast on the wall
and read to them the passage chosen by Augustus:
"Consider to what extent the love of God makes itself manifest. Among the signs of His love which appear in the world are the dawning-point of His Manifestations. What an infinite degree of love is reflected by the divine Manifestations toward mankind! For the sake of guiding the people they have willingly forfeited their lives to resuscitate human hearts. They have accepted the cross. To enable human souls to attain the supreme degree of advancement, they have suffered during their limited years extreme ordeals and difficulties. If His Holiness Jesus Christ had not possessed love for the world of humanity, surely he would not have welcomed the cross. He was crucified for the love of mankind. Consider the infinite degree of that love. …
Observe how rarely human souls sacrifice their pleasure or comfort for others; how improbable that a man would offer his eye or suffer himself to be dismembered for the benefit of another. Yet all the divine Manifestations suffered, offered their lives and blood, sacrificed their existence, comfort and all they possessed for the sake of mankind. Therefore consider how much they love. Were it not for their love for humanity, spiritual love would be mere nomenclature. Were it not for their illumination, human souls would not be radiant. How effective is their love! This is a sign of the love of God; a ray of the Sun of Reality." (Selections AB)
Cat boys really enjoyed their reading this morning, so they told me.

Some moments later Ollie sang a song

while Augustus listened.

Dudes filled their furry paws with all the kisses they could make this morning and blew them in the air wishing for all a very special Easter weekend!

Turing...

A ginger cat dancing...
and rolling.
A foofy cat attacking
questioning,
scaling down,
and up.
Peeking.
Peeking.
Peeking.
When I started writing this post a while back Turing was on my mind and now it is not but go check it out. We are humans, not machines, we are cats, not computers, we are made of love.
O Son of Existence! Love Me, that I may love thee. If thou lovest Me not, My Love can never reach thee. Know this, O servant!
Hidden Words

Cat boys finally dragged me to the keyboard and had me post a blog so they could send their loving kisses. Please enjoy!

Ciao!

Augustus and Ollie ready for the weekend...

This is us yesterday, we walked about here and there and enjoyed each other's company.

We reflected on this reading:

"Absolute repose does not exist in nature. All things either make progress or lose ground. Everything moves forward or backward, nothing is without motion. … movement is essential to all existence. All material things progress to a certain point, then begin to decline. This is the law which governs the whole physical creation.

Now let us consider the soul. ...with the human soul, there is no decline. Its only movement is towards perfection; growth and progress alone constitute the motion of the soul.

Divine perfection is infinite, therefore the progress of the soul is also infinite. From the very birth of a human being the soul progresses, the intellect grows and knowledge increases. When the body dies the soul lives on.

…In the world of spirit there is no retrogression. The world of mortality is a world of contradictions, of opposites; motion being compulsory everything must either go forward or retreat. In the realm of spirit there is no retreat possible, all movement is bound to be towards a perfect state. 'Progress' is the expression of spirit in the world of matter. The intelligence of man, his reasoning powers, his knowledge, his scientific achievements, all these being manifestations of the spirit, partake of the inevitable law of spiritual progress and are, therefore, of necessity, immortal."
(Paris Talks)

Augustus and Ollie seem to be enjoying the passage.

Cat dudes made big juicy kisses and flew them off your way for the weekend! Enjoy!

Two cats a roaming...

Cat boys make themselves big looking these days...just in case!
Here's goldilocks Ollie.
And here is "Stretch", what one neighbor used to call Augustus.
Today I call him Gustopher Jones. Keeping an eye out for intruders.

A random reading was called for...

"Whensoever the light of Manifestation of the King of Oneness settleth upon the throne of the heart and soul, His shining becometh visible in every limb and member. At that time the mystery of the famed tradition gleameth out of the darkness: "A servant is drawn unto Me in prayer until I answer him; and when I have answered him, I become the ear wherewith he heareth...." For thus the Master of the house hath appeared within His home, and all the pillars of the dwelling are ashine with His light. And the action and effect of the light are from the Light-Giver; so it is that all move through Him and arise by His will...." [Seven Valleys]

Cat dudes rapidly made kisses and were releasing them in the air as fast as they made them/ Enjoy!

A new cat in town...

One day last week the three of us discovered that a new cat had moved to our complex. This fellow's overall handsomeness was only matched by his pushiness. In no time, he found our home and landed himself on our doormat, an act not so welcome by cats since as we all know cats send invitations out for guests. In addition to this faux pas, this fellow would not let Ollie or Gussy into the house! I heard loud meows.
He is setting out to bully Ollie!
And here is Ollie not believing what is happening.
Fortunately Gussy came and sat down right in front of him. Telepathic conversations let the fellow know that he would only appear when he received his invitation in the mail, and that he should not be holding his breath for too long.
Later at night distressed Ollie was on the floor, he had an emotional fainting in the living room.
Close examination of his paws told me that he would be alright in spite of the little event.
When Gussy retired to his chair I noticed that he kept on his boxing gloves but remained in a meditative mood.

I thought a good way to make light of this event would be to call the new cat names and make fun of him but Augustus would not have that. He told me that he would take care of that cat and suggested that I read the following:

"Man possesses two kinds of susceptibilities: the natural emotions, which are like dust upon the mirror, and spiritual susceptibilities, which are merciful and heavenly characteristics.

There is a power which purifies the mirror from dust and transforms its reflection into intense brilliancy and radiance so that spiritual susceptibilities may chasten the hearts and heavenly bestowals sanctify them. What is the dust which obscures the mirror? It is attachment to the world, avarice, envy, love of luxury and comfort, haughtiness and self-desire; this is the dust which prevents reflection of the rays of the Sun of Reality in the mirror. The natural emotions are blameworthy and are like rust which deprives the heart of the bounties of God. But sincerity, justice, humility, severance, and love for the believers of God will purify the mirror and make it radiant with reflected rays from the Sun of Truth.

It is my hope that you may consider this matter, that you may search out your own imperfections and not think of the imperfections of anybody else. Strive with all your power to be free from imperfections. "
{Promulgation of Universal Peace}

Well, I thought, I had my work cut out for me.

In spite of the day's hardships both Ollie and Augustus filled their paws with love kisses and blew them in the air for you. Enjoy!

Cats in their own worlds...

each one exploring a part of the universe.

In Guss' present world sits a sassy bird on top of a spiky palm.
Augustus decided to sing the 'come-hither' tune, you know the one where they vibrate their vocal chords.
The gaze he threw my way said "why doesn't the birdie fly into my reach?"
He agreed to stare and enjoy.
Ollie's present world is the dangerous wild savannah, he still pays daily visits to this personal playground of his.
I only need to see a little bit of him at all times; besides that I am ok taking him out there.
Okay, he is done. Time to go.
Our very own wild lion walking down the street ready for breakfast and newspaper!

Later when we gathered on the patio, they breakfasted while I read to them the story of the worlds...

"As to thy question concerning the worlds of God. Know thou of a truth that the worlds of God are countless in their number, and infinite in their range. None can reckon or comprehend them except God, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. Consider thy state when asleep. Verily, I say, this phenomenon is the most mysterious of the signs of God amongst men, were they to ponder it in their hearts. Behold how the thing which thou hast seen in thy dream is, after a considerable lapse of time, fully realized. Had the world in which thou didst find thyself in thy dream been identical with the world in which thou livest, it would have been necessary for the event occurring in that dream to have transpired in this world at the very moment of its occurrence. Were it so, you yourself would have borne witness unto it. This being not the case, however, it must necessarily follow that the world in which thou livest is different and apart from that which thou hast experienced in thy dream. This latter world hath neither beginning nor end. It would be true if thou wert to contend that this same world is, as decreed by the All-Glorious and Almighty God, within thy proper self and is wrapped up within thee. It would equally be true to maintain that thy spirit, having transcended the limitations of sleep and having stripped itself of all earthly attachment, hath, by the act of God, been made to traverse a realm which lieth hidden in the innermost reality of this world. Verily I say, the creation of God embraceth worlds besides this world, and creatures apart from these creatures. In each of these worlds He hath ordained things which none can search except Himself, the All-Searching, the All-Wise. Do thou meditate on that which We have revealed unto thee, that thou mayest discover the purpose of God, thy Lord, and the Lord of all worlds. In these words the mysteries of Divine Wisdom have been treasured."(Gleanings)

The reading seemed to please the cats because they immediately prepared kisses that they sent flying into many worlds. We hope that you caught a few.

Ciao everyone! Enjoy the weekend of your world!
