The cat boys may now be referred to as cat junior youth. They run around with fast paws and I am lucky if I get glimpses of them here and there. Just like any mom would wonder I too wonder how these cat boys grew up so fast.
Last weekend one set of paws was found on a ledge
and the other set was resting on another ledge.
I walked around examining the surroundings, mostly the skies that were blue enough to accentuate the beauty of the bare branches. The breeze would come in bursts bringing with it freshness from an unknown space, and a familiar swish. I was thinking different thoughts, breathing deep the cool, dry air, deliberately,
when the fluffy orange of his coat caught my attention, and within the span of a few moments
the little head of a stripey one emerged from behind a thin plant.
It occurred to me that we three were enjoying the very same.
Nature is thin around us but we find ways to enjoy it in short spans.
We three brought to mind this lovely passage.
Nature satisfies by its loveliness, and without any mixture of corporeal benefit. I see the spectacle of morning from the hill-top over against my house, from day-break to sun-rise, with emotions which an angel might share. The long slender bars of cloud float like fishes in the sea of crimson light. From the earth, as a shore, I look out into that silent sea. I seem to partake its rapid transformations: the active enchantment reaches my dust, and I dilate and conspire with the morning wind. How does Nature deify us with a few and cheap elements! Give me health and a day, and I will make the pomp of emperors ridiculous. The dawn is my Assyria; the sun-set and moon-rise my Paphos, and unimaginable realms of faerie; broad noon shall be my England of the senses and the understanding; the night shall be my Germany of mystic philosophy and dreams. ( Emerson)
May you be surrounded by nature a little bit each day and may kitty kisses land on your face during the nights.
Cat boys sent pawful of kisses and their best wishes for a fabulous February.

A Special Blog Post for Umber Dove
A bright and clear morning, the dove was sitting high in the silvery pink branches.
Mr Sweet Pants (his full name Augustus Gorba Stripester) andMr Puffy Pants (his full name Ollie Anderdunk Gingerella) who also go by other appellations
were telepathying with one of their favorite artists, the lovely UmberDove, who had been feeling less than well.
When Sweet pants sprung into action
They, via telepathy, contacted another of their favorite artists in Sweden, Carolina Gronholm, and asked to have tote bags made of their images
to sell for UmberDove's Get Well Fund. Naturally, she agreed and even offered a discount to join their feline efforts.
This lovely bag, 38 x 42 cm, with long handles, will adorn your body head to toe and you may find yourself being chased on the streets. One has the image of Super Hero Augustus who responds to distressful meows
and the other has the image of Augustus' sidekick, Ollie, who is ready to assist.
Friends, this is a limited edition, ONLY 8 available (four are ready for delivery and four are being shipped from Sweden).
The bags cost $25 each with ALL proceeds to go to the Umber Dove Family, a little token of love from the furry creatures who love her.

Loving those ear lobes...
Last Sunday morning I was admiring furry ear lobes.
A pair of them were right by my side
while the second pair was hidden in the thick green of the unpretentious backyard.
Mr Sweet Pants who had obviously heard my inner thoughts, mostly admiring his gorgeous ear lobes, glanced towards me,
and then walked over while mumbling a little bit to himself. He can be quite talkative.
Gingerella who admires his brother greatly was observing with the usual level of keen interest.
As the two walked towards the clearing where we would sit for reflection I sensed the magnetic fields at work,
How can one lift a light object from let's say a table without effort while defying the very strong forces of gravity?
Augustus the Sweet Pants and Ollie Gingerella Puffy Pants who could not answer the question asked if I thought the strong forces of love would be able to surpass the gravitational forces.
Let's face it, the cat boys have become only more clever in 2014 and this means that I am in trouble.
They prepared pawfuls of kisses and blew them in the air with their best wishes.

the rays of light shining brightly on us all.
We were thinking of such things that morning.
"In theoretical physics, the hierarchy problem is the large discrepancy between aspects of the weak force and gravity. Physicists are unable to explain, for example, why the weak force is 1032 stronger than the force of gravity." -from Wikipedia

SPACE2014
The skies were blue on that first day of 2014.
I found the cat boys at their usual best...Mr Puffy Pants spying on
Mr Sweet Pants who was checking the electric circuit boxes.
We decided to join them....
MrLittleJeans grabbed the Sweet Pants by his tail for a kiss on the wall while
I asked the salad muncher
and Sweet Pants

We decided to join them....
MrLittleJeans grabbed the Sweet Pants by his tail for a kiss on the wall while
I got busy gathering grass for Mr Puffy Pants ...
who munches on salads like no other cat we have seen.
Mr Sweet Pants exclaimed that his brother was still funny in 2014 as he was before and we think that he is right.
I asked the salad muncher
and Sweet Pants
to assume a posture of active listening so we could reflect on this passage....
"The dimension that counts for the creative person is the space he creates within himself. This inner space is closer to the infinite than the other, and it is the privilege of the balanced mind... and the search for an equilibrium is essential- to be aware of the inner space as he is of outer space."
This quote is a favorite of the cat boys who believe that an open inner space is essential to living a balanced life. We discussed this at length and to our satisfaction by staring at each other for a long time. When all were satisfied the cat boys made pawfuls of kisses and blew them in the air for a Happy 2014!

Two wise cat boys...
Well, the camera is back and I still see one dust particle in addition to bonus noise when the lens moves in and out to focus but I have chosen to ignore those bonuses.
Last Sunday was my first chance in a long long time to spend quality time with the cat boys. They took me to the back yard where we sat in several different configurations and we pondered. The game was and always is to figure out who is thinking what, and simple as you might think that would be...it is not because these two cat boys have profound thoughts in their heads, thoughts that are frequently interrupted by other not so profound thoughts.
Augustus the Sweet Pants was on the wall for some time and then chose to go through the rubble and cobwebs to relax on the narrow railing.
Down below and in front of him was Ollie with his cinnamony Puffy Pants...in the sun he was more cinnamon than ginger.
I looked at the leaves that were stretching out towards the sun and imagined this to be the relationship between our souls and its creator ...I thought how wonderful it would have been if this relationship did not have to be defined with words that confused it...why not just energy flowing from the sun to the photosynthetic centers of those leaves, naturally, unabashedly, freely. One can see a lot in bright sunlight.
The Panther decided to move back to the wider wall
while Ollie admired him
from several angles.
So here's what we three have been focusing on these days, the Four Agreements from the Toltec Wisdom Book:
Be impeccable with your words.
Don't take anything personally.
Don't make assumptions.
Always do your best.
It is kind of interesting to me that the cat boys do this naturally but I have to practice it and I feel freer for it. Since the days are passing by rapidly cat boys asked me to send you their best wishes for a Merry Christmas and pawfuls of their sweet kisses. Until next time...
Ciao!

the best we can do now...
My camera is at the shop for dust removal.
When I told the man that I put my camera in my pocket along with cat treats, bird seeds, sunflower seeds for squirrels, and some catnip, he first gave me a semi-dirty look, and then when he realized that the cat boys took morning walks with me and loved treats and loved to see birds and squirrels while they ate, then he softened up. He showed me pictures of his own cat and we shared stories. All of this is to let you know that I am relying on the handy dandy iphone for photos.
Our days are busy and short.
Independent of each other we spend a good bit of time plotting.
My plots revolve around how to get the cat boys indoors before the workmen arrive in the morning(we are smoothing down the rough ceiling and a few other things).
Gingerella's plots are focused on disappearing quietly without Mr Sweet Pants noticing, and that is not as easy task as the slanky stripester roams jaguar like around looking for the orange ball of naughtiness. Of course Gingerella becomes very emotional and runs to me for support.
Mr Sweet Pants' agenda has two entries on it...#1- find any cat boy in our neighborhood and fight with it. And item #2 is "Follow Gingerella." Though I don't approve of the items on his agenda I usually applaud him for keeping it simple.
Some random photos of few days ago ....
Gingerella letting patches of light sit on his fur.
Gingerella and Mr Sweet Pants in a rare moment..I like to think that they succumbed to the perfectness of the moment...cool air, bright sun, chirping birds...and that they were not just plotting with eyes closed.
Mr Sweet Pants and Gingerella as seen most of the time...cat wrestling!
All the fault is not with Gingerella, Mr Sweet Pants does his share...here he came to block Ollie's view, on purpose. Sometimes he goes and tinks right in front of him. : )
Here they forgot about sibling rivalries and are wondering what might be hiding in the bushes. I was fascinated by the ball of sunlight that Ollie was sitting on.
Ollie trying to hide. : )
Wink wink....he felt good about his accomplishments that day.
I attended a talk last night that was very inspiring and thought provoking, something about the power of words and how so much of what we do is defined perhaps by words having rigid, conventional meanings that do not match our social realities and therefore confine and prevent progress (this probably makes sense only to myself) but the essence of it was that there is only one reality but that it is multiplied because of our imperfect understanding.
Augustus the Great Naughty Cat Boy suggested that we reviewed this together and so we did:

"Reality is one; and when found, it will unify all mankind.
Reality is
the love of God. Reality is the knowledge of God.
Reality is justice.
Reality
is the oneness or solidarity of mankind. Reality is international peace.
Reality is the knowledge of verities. Reality unifies humanity.”

December days are running as fast as they can. Cat boys hope that you are enjoying them. Keep your agendas simple and focus on the essentials...cat boys sent you pawfuls of kisses and their best wishes.
Ciao everyone!
