I called them furry mysteries today...

I said, "cat boys, where should we take it today?". They pointed to the gate and so we took it out the front gate but
we did not get very far! Augustus the SweetPants fell on his side and
seeing Mr PuffyPants' paws I could tell that the same had happened to him.
So we took it back in on the other side of the gate. They assumed the proper learning posture momentarily and then I got side tracked by the furry mysteries who threw
glances in one direction
and then the other direction;
sleepy eyes closed
and sleepy eyes opened.
Gus with closed eyes and Ollie open eyes
followed by Ollie closed eyes and Augustus open eyes.
Then they chose to talk to each other for a while
and whatever Ollie told Augustus made him wonder deep wonderful thoughts.

Now they are telling me that soon they would be able to listen
and I don't believe that is the case based on their legs being extended in the air!

Mr Puffy Pants told me that he preferred to listen upside down
while SweetPants said that he would listen with his eyes closed for better concentration.
I take what I can get.
We were a few days ago, maybe a week ago reading Dan Jordan, On Becoming Your True Self and so since my mind was on instrumentation and lab work I decided to just for the much needed distraction...

Later I asked Ollie to make kisses because Gussy had already made his and blown them in the air and so he did...

Taking a break from those sassy squirrels

was a good idea. We looked up as one of two birds flew in a gentle flutter right above our heads.
Augustus and Ollie said that they wanted to play Sherlock and though the cape and pipe were not here they still chose to play the investigative game. This time though they chose the neighbor home adjacent to their playground. The lovely lady who lives there sprinkles curry powder into the pots to keep the squirrels away and that is what the boys are trying to discover.


They can't quite put their paws on the aroma but apparently it induces pleasure or curiosity in the least.
I had to leave and get a start on my busy day and so the dudes sat
with a posture of active learning. We decided to follow yesterday's theme,
which concerned the nature of human potential, the happiness that results when that potential is realized, and how that is facilitated by developing the capacities of knowing and learning, especially in the field of service and not entirely in isolation.

Augustus suggested that faith was important in this transformative process, this realization of our potential.

I pretended that I was only mildly astonished and interested though inside I was thinking if there was a wise man hiding inside our Bubba Gus!

So we read:

The cat boys who appeared to be missing the squirrel action put their excess energy into making a lot of kisses, and they blew them forcefully in the air so much so that the palm leaves started blowing!

Another unusual day with the cat boys...

It was only after a good game of Sherlock Holmes where cat boys carefully investigate the bushes that
Mr PuffyPants Watson
and Mr SweetPants Holmes agreed to sit for a pow wow.
And so we gathered together, exchanged a few pleasantries and
read this:

Ollie and Augustus enjoyed this reading very much and started pondering how they could be their true selves. Immediately they started making kisses and blowing them in the air which told me that their true selves were made of love, they are furry love balls.

Later I drove to work and as I did my coffee stop I felt elated by seeing this urban humming bird...
